.:: Essential Job Duties: Responsible for Special Operations planning, coordination, and oversight. Capable of developing and coordinating Special Operations to support USCENTCOM missions. Focus is on the planning, prep and execution of full-spectrum Special Operations in joint, multinational, and interagency contexts, to include the deconfliction of USCENTCOM actions and activities with the Joint Staff, other unified commands, service staffs, supporting commands, and other government agencies. Responsible to advise the Commander USCENTCOM on Special Operations employment and utilization. Must use cognitive problem solving skills to overcome challenges at operational/strategic levels.
.:: Mental/Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel unassisted to US and foreign locations. Must be able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material. Position is contingent on contract award. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
.:: Education/Experience Requirements: SAMS/SAWS/NOPC/SAASS and/or JPME-II strongly preferred. OSD/Joint Staff/CENTCOM AOR experience preferred. Bachelor's degree and MEL4 required; Masters and JSO desired. Must have at least one SOF operational tour and SOF planner at the theatre level 1 year. Graduate of SOF SFQC, BUDS, OTC, equivalent desired. SOF branch qualified at field grade level, or company/troop commander. Relevant COCOM/operational staff experience preferred. TSOC, SOCOM staff, JSO; interagency exp desired.
