Software Engineer III - C#, .Net (Digital Commerce)
Plays a role in the design, development, testing and support stages of the Project Life Cycle for Digital Commerce Platforms.May work with users to gather requirements for design specifications.Develops testing procedures. Documents development.Adds input into the design of systems and projects.May work on a one-person project or function as part of a team.Works on moderately complex projects.
Responsibilities:
Technical lead for small and intermediate size projects.
Participates in intermediate and large projects.
Formulates/defines technical specifications.
Develops custom applications and modifies existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements.
Participates in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) of both new development and enhancement projects.
Assists with project planning, project definition, requirements definition, analysis, design, testing, system documentation and user training.
Handles coding, debugging and documentation.
Supports the QA group in developing test plans and test scripts.
May provide post-implementation and on-going production support as an on-call programmer.
Requirements:
4-6 years of Software Development experience.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience.
Strong C# programming skills, both within and outside the environment.
Strong understanding of and experience working with SOA using XML Web Services.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
HTML / JavaScript experience.
SQL development with MS SQL Server (preferred), Oracle or other ANSI SQL acceptable.
IIS configuration and troubleshooting experience.
Beneficial if candidate possesses the following:
Experience as Software Engineer in a Web Applications / Application Programmer capacity using the .NET framework.
Experience working with IBM WebSphere or other message queue technologies.
Strong OOP & Design background.
24/7 E-Commerce experience.
