Senior Release Engineer - Change Management
Provides support to multiple application groups by performing or coordinating changes to multiple test and/or production application environments. Adheres to and ensures others adhere to established processes.
Responsibilities:
Builds, or coordinates builds, of medium to high complexity.
Ensures environment readiness and the migration of code to related files.
Coordinates implementation related work among cross functional teams.
Mentors/often gives direction to and delegates assignments to Release Engineers.
Leads the CM code release effort by working with development and other technical teams to put standards and documentation in place for each application.
Follows up on work completed by Release Engineers to ensure quality and completeness.
Identifies process issues and recommends corrective action.
Contributes to or prepares management and/or metrics reporting and audits findings.
Available for work during off hours, remotely, when necessary.
Requirements:
3 years of release engineering experience/code implementation.
Ability to drive external and internal customer satisfaction.
Speaks and writes clearly and concisely.
Detail oriented.
Good follow-up skills, keeping others up to date with information.
Knowledge of PVCS or other SCM tool.
UNIX experience.
Windows experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred (but not required with acceptable level of technical skills and work experience).
