GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Provide technical direction and support for safety and environmental program initiatives at two locations. . Support and actively participate in the SH&E audit program, including self-assessment. Evaluate compliance with OSHA, EPA, Company and other applicable regulatory requirements. Participate as audit team member, as necessary. . Manage work-related incident program . Supports and manage the injury and worker compensation program at both locations; . Interacts with local occupational health clinics and company worker compensation insurance provider and assists in the preparation of corrective actions that help the prevention of similar accidents. . Maintain regulatory permits and support compliance with permit conditions and requirements. Responsible for regulatory filings and periodic reporting. . Work closely with site infrastructure teams and operations staff to assure integration of Safety, Health & Environment issues into business needs and projects. . Oversee and monitor contractor safety and on-site contractor activities. . Assess safety, health and environmental risk as it applies to the site location and be able to make appropriate decisions and plans to help mitigate risk. . Develop sites specific programs consistent with Company policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable safety, health and environmental regulations. . Track and report safety incidents, injuries, and compliance and program issues. Maintain site injury/illness statistical data. . Assist in coordinating capital funding projects as required in the areas of Safety, Health and Environment. . Support development of emergency response, disaster recovery and crisis management activities. . Conduct safety and health analysis of engineering projects. . Maintain liaison with outside organizations to assure compliance. . Assist in the preparation of corrective actions that help prevent the occurrence of similar accidents. . Lead and support both sites ergonomics program. . Support development of company computer based SH&E training. Ensure appropriate training is provided at the required frequency and documented. . Lead and support sites recycling, hazardous waste, and universal waste programs. . Lead site AED program. . Chair and coordinate activities of the Safety Committee. . Develop and provide site awareness of SH&E. . This position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
This position supports 2 Tampa sites 2.5 days in each location

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: . Preferred BS Occupational Health, Environmental, Safety or related. Life experience may be substituted. . 5-7+ years broad-based Safety/Health, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Environmental experience. . Minimum 3 years experience: Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, Understanding of one or more operating systems
