Description:
The Quality Improvement Coordinator assists the Director with originating, coordinating, and utilizing information management strategies and communication to facilitate St. Petersburg General Hospital performance improvement program and activities in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives of the organization and to meet regulatory and accreditation body requirements. Responsibilities include:
Assist in the planning and deployment of quality standards.
Assists in the communications of improvements as information becomes available (Ex. best demonstrated practices, rule development, etc.).
Maintains cooperative relationships with corporate and facility staff to ensure customer input into program development and program evaluation.
Maintains professional and ethical relationships with HCA vendors participating in educational programs.
Maintains proficiency in industry development related to Patient Safety.
Data abstraction and analysis.
Facilitate hospital and medical staff performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
College graduate.
FL RN required.
3-5 years experience as a clinician.
Previous management experience desirable.
Clinical or managerial experience in direct patient care.
Performance Improvement experience preferred.
Experience in project management and Patient Safety Initiatives desirable.
