Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - GREAT DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a QA Specialist- MANUAL & AUTOMATED Testing experience required.
Our client in Tampa is looking for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer with the following experience:
The Quality Assurance and Testing Specialist works to develop and execute testing strategies, test plans in order to ensure that applications meet business requirements and maintain high quality standards. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that test automation and performance testing are part of Continuous Integration process.
DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT: The software development department is organized around Windows and Microsoft brand tools. Fully licensed for Visual Studio with MSDN Ultimate, and use Microsoft tools in preference to third party or open source tools wherever feasible to ensure consistency in skill sets among developers and test engineers.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Quality Assurance: • Several years of experience as a quality assurance test engineer using Microsoft testing tools • Good working knowledge with SDLC best practices • Experience in testing of software projects from initiation to UAT • Experience in prioritizing test efforts for where resources are limited • Experience in creating and executing Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and progress/status reports • Experience translating software requirements into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying/scripting any detailed test data required • Experience creating test cases for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing • Experience in defect management including defect creation, tracking, trending and reporting (TFS)
Test Automation: • Ability to design, implement, and expand scalable test automation solutions independently and in a timely manner • Experience with scripting tools/languages • Experience with at least one test automation platform • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks, both for GUI and non-GUI interfaces • Experience with Continuous Integration tools
Other Skills: • Visual Studio Test Edition • Experience working closely with the project team throughout the life of the project • Must be collaborative, persistent, and agile • Must have a commitment to Quality • Expertise with Visio, PowerPoint Excel, and MS Word • Experience with SharePoint and with TFS or SourceSafe revision control is a plus • SQL Server T-SQL Queries and Business Intelligence/Reporting Services are a plus For immediate consideration please apply online.
