Project Manager - DIRECT LABOR
Project Manager plans, directs, analyzes and coordinates task order activities for an upcoming large Air Force Special Operations Forces C2 & Mission Systems Support under the Special Operations Command Information Technology (SITEC) Specialty Services contract . Ensures that all objectives and goals are accomplished within contractual requirements, time frame, and funding parameters to assure the successful movement of effort. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the USSOCOM, Special Operations Forces Component Commands', and Theater Special Operations Commands' missions and charters. Provide day-to-day interface to the project management, technical staff scheduling and support organization; responsible for ensuring that tasks and personnel are resourced for requirements. This Project Manger position requires a detail oriented, hands-on senior level individual with knowledge of project management practices and will be required to work in close coordination with Operations and the customer to minimize mission impact. Candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, managing, and allocating resources at multiple operational sites in the Southwest Asia Theater of Operations to provide 24/7 Global Reach-back service support for AFSOF C2. Duties will include day-to-day interface to the program management, technical staff and support organization; responsible for ensuring that tasks and person. In additional the following responsibilities exist:
- Coordinating with the engineering staff in the IT functional areas of system engineering, system administration, computer security, and service monitoring; engagement and development of personnel resources for training and educational opportunities.
- Ensuring quality performance requirements are met; identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize network performance and ensure customer satisfaction goals are accomplished.
- Works with program management and technical staff to solve business problems related to program transition
- Applies functional knowledge and experience to significant business projects or processes.
- May perform business development activities, including providing technical input to proposal efforts.
- Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Develops and implements communication plans to address transition cycle and initial steady state period.
- Defines level of staff proposed, source of staff, and skill levels are in line with contractual, financial, and solution requirements
- Defines all non-people resources required for service delivery are in line with contractual, financial and solution requirements
- Produces a gap analysis related to resources and documents risks and contingency plans
- Assures appropriate levels of due diligence and data gathering occur to allow for full validation of information and assumptions used in solution and proposal development.

- Defines assumptions used in project solution development
Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management/Administration or related discipline or equivalent.
- Masters Degree in Business or Information Technology preferred
- Direct experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree on a case-by-case basis.
Experience - 8-10 years of IT experience (ideally, a combination of LAN and System Engineering), including supervisory experience
- Assures appropriate levels of due diligence and data gathering occur to allow for full validation of information and assumptions used in solution and proposal development.
Solution Validation
- Validates assumptions used in project solution development
- Produces a gap analysis to highlight differences between assumptions used in solution and actual data gathered

Must have current TS Clearance and meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.
- Applicable IT industry-recognized DoDD 8570 certification required
- ITIL V3 Foundations Certification required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
