This position will be considered a developmental role that is a precursor to future Leadership opportunities. The Process Engineer will be responsible for directly understanding and supporting the Pre Press and Printing Area Team Leaders. This position will begin with no direct reports and develop into a Leadership Role.
The Process Engineer will provide support to the Manufacturing Team in an effort to identify improvements in overall productivity and waste reduction. The position will assist Team Leaders and Process Leaders in overseeing Team Member training, enforcing all rules, policies and procedures, write capital investment proposals, and manage contractors doing equipment installations and facility repairs, and other duties as determined by Production Team Leader.
Specific Job Activities: * Demonstrate understanding of the lithography printing process. * Proficient in printing prepress software( Adobe)and business software (Microsoft office) Proficient with Adobe illustrator * Establish and maintain credibility * Ability to pay close attention to detail, prioritize multiple tasks and possess excellent follow-up skills. * Ensure all Team Members are knowledgeable of and adhere to Evergreen Packaging safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations. * Responsible for effective Team Member relations. Provides Team Member coaching and development. Resolve Team Member issues through problem resolution. Ensure hourly Team Members have proper training and tools to meet area goals * Meet production goals by balancing quality, productivity, performance, cost, safety, environmental, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the area. * Work with other areas, shifts and direct reports to achieve team attitude among crews and peers * Check work areas for safety hazards * Communicate the status of orders schedule; work with Maintenance Planner, maintenance, and Engineering on projects and capital investment projects * Organize area clean-ups * Communicate with Quality Assurance Manager concerning all issues affecting quality (side seams, skiving issues, mixed loads, etc.). * Provide products and services that consistently meet the mutually agreed upon specifications of both our internal and external customers. * Ensure that all requirements of SQF Code 2000 are being administered and adhered to. * Implement and maintain quality systems that ensure procedures and processes are in place to provide products that meet manufacturing specifications and customer requirements; provide tools for educating team members on quality standards and specifications for packaging; standardize quality test procedures and interpretation of results throughout the division; create a foundation and mechanism for process monitoring and continuous improvement. * Involve team members in continuously improving the quality of our products and services, and the efficiency of operations and staff activities throughout the business. * Leading quality improvement activities within their respective organizations. * Responsible for assuring that the products produced within each manufacturing facility are safe and comply with all applicable federal, state, laws, regulations, and guidelines. * Responsible for compliance with and adherence to all established good manufacturing practices, food safety plans and all applicable regulations and guidelines. Skills: * A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. * Results driven * High energy * Organizational design, LEAN and Business planning skills * Problem solving skills * Initiate and manage change * Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and Team Member relations. * Must have an intense curiosity in not just manufacturing processes, but also in understanding and action upon the process of people. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure. * Strong team player. * Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product. * Knowledge of business and management principles. * Computer literate. * Knowledge of Food Safety Requirements * Ability to interpret and administer SQF Code 2000 * Must be able to work independently and think proactively with minimal daily guidance. * Must be self directed with excellent people skills. * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability and willingness to work in excess of 40 hours per week with no notice.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical preferred 3 years Manufacturing experience Has strong technical skills and abilities in Printing Has strong leadership abilities and is able to hold team members accountable. Has the ability to build positive relationships with other team leaders, process leaders, and the entire Plant City Team. Willing to travel Able to work in a Manufacturing environment. Has demonstrated that he or she can be objective and treat others with dignity and respect.
