Manager, Marketing & Communications

Starlims, an Abbott company, has an opening for a Marketing & Communications Manager in the Hollywood, FL location. This role is responsible for developing and executing the marketing communication strategy to support the global leadership and sales teams and company brand from a content and creative assets deliverables standpoint. The Manager of Marketing & Communications is a blend of hands-on design; strategic thinking; and energetic and highly creative person who possess a B2B focus.; The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the
following activities for the STARLIMS:
o The Manager will work collaboratively with the Global Area Leaders and Product Marketing Team to understand the company and customer needs; build communication plans and execute programs to ensure successful product launches & awareness and marketing efforts overall.
o Develop a B2B focused marketing strategy for company goals involving marketing collateral; public relations; promotional campaigns; trade show marketing; and other communications programs; while championing brand consistency.
o Effectively execute social; digital & customer acquisition programs through collaborative agency partnerships.
o Support the commercial organizations in achieving Plan/Update objectives.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and manage marketing budget.
• PR Manager: news and press releases; media relations; social marketing efforts (LinkedIn; Facebook; twitter; etc) other emerging web opportunities.
• Strategize and direct relationships with external vendors to ensure the success of all search engine marketing efforts including Search Engine Optimization and Pay-Per-Click campaigns.
• Analyze web metric trends to improve and/or add functionality; drive repeat sales; and increase conversions.
• Cultivate and manage vendor relationships; as needed; in key growth areas including; but not limited to; Web Development; Conversion Optimization; Pay-Per-Click management; Search Engine Optimization; Social Media.
• Quarterly newsletter: art direction; design and layout; content manager; copy writing; tracking.
• Website: manage website functionality; image quality; information and copy; leverage the web site as a key marketing tool.
• Trade Show Marketing: manage marketing collateral for trade shows; signage creation; trade show booth design; determine with Sales and Product Managers which tradeshows to attend and work with the entire team to ensure tradeshows are an effective marketing and selling opportunity.
• Support Product Marketing teams in the delivery of webinars or other customer oriented events such as advisory boards; which drives sales and customer loyalty and retention

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
The Marketing & Communications manager is responsible for achievement of the goals and objectives of Global Marketing; the Division; and each of the Areas. Performance will be monitored versus the annual marketing plan; and execution against the action items and financial objectives. Must ensure compliance with the Quality System; and all Ethics/Compliance guidelines. Must work within budget guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years related experience in the marketing.
• B2B Print and digital media and marketing experience required. Deep understanding of best practices and how to apply them.
• Demonstrated project management skills including planning, organization, implementation, achievement of deadlines, and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Experienced in the Enterprise Software or Web-based product arena is highly preferred.
• Experience working with and collaborating with agencies for brand, digital and media.
• Excellent copy writing skills is a must and you must provide examples of your work.
• Passion for innovation, technology and creative problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• This position requires global travel (15%).
