Required skills 1. Must possess 5-10 years very recent fighter aircraft experience.
2. Must have been previously awarded a USAF 5 to 7 level skill level or USMC or US Navy or civilian experience with associated credential such as a licensed FAA "Airframe and Power plant or Inspector Airframe license.
3. Multi-system aircraft trained and certified.
4. Possess a functional capability on standard computer software programs.
5. Working Knowledgeable of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, Supply Chain Management, and Time Accounting.
6. Ability to supervisor multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrate workforce environment that consists of Military, Government Civil Service, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pratt and Whitney,and BAE systems employees.
7. Must be able to read engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to specific maintenance mechanics/technicians.
8. Must be able to develop work schedules for employees. Ability to work in a flexible schedule environment
9. Must be capable of performing in a role of task trainer certifier.
10. Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Specific Job Description Maintains general services, repairs, and overhauls of F-35 STOVL aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Ensures Good House keeping and Safety practices are enforced. Responsible for subordinate training,conducts Formal On-The-Job Training, work assignments, and recognition/disciplinary actions. May perform periodic inspections and general overhaul and repairs or modifications requiring replacement and assembly of parts. Provides technical assistance as required. Completes work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System,Requisitions parts using the Autonomic Information System. Launch/recover pre-flights, post flights and thru flights. An FAA aircraft and powerplant mechanic license is desirable.
